The Guild Level 3 Award in Airbrush Make-Up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in the artistic techniques of the application of airbrush make-up to the face as well as how to plan and create airbrush make-up designs.Underpinning your practical skills you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills as a professional make-up artist to enable you to provide airbrush make-up services

At London School of Hair and Beauty, we offer theGuild Level 3 Award in Airbrush Make-Up course in a structure that saves you a lot of time compared to the Further Education College route and offer a flexible way for students to achieve a more advanced qualification.

Following practical training days, students are given written and practical assignments to be completed at home. Students then return to the school for a pre assessment appointmentbefore attending their assessments. To comply with the rigorous NVQ assessment procedure, it is essential that student provide models to work on during their assessment days.

The Guild Level 3 Award in Airbrush Make-Up contains the following units:

Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon

Through this unit you will develop your skills in a supervisory role focusing on health and safety within your salon. You will recognise salon hazards, carry out risk assessments and then implement the necessary actions. You will monitor and support your colleagues to ensure your salon complies with health and safety requirements. You will implement and supervise salon procedures for all aspects of salon safety and security including the need for insurance.

Client care and communication in beauty-related industries

This is a preparation for work unit which is based on capability and knowledge. This unit is about client care and communication in beauty-related industries. You will develop your ability to adapt the provision of client care and your communication skills, to the needs of different clients, as well as learn how to manage client expectations.

Apply airbrush Make-Up to the face

This unit is about applying airbrush make-up to the face and body. You will need to show that you can carry out a variety of airbrush make-up designs and techniques, and you will learn how to use a range of airbrush products.

Mode of Study

At London School of Hair and Beautys, we run this qualification in a unit by unit form. This allows you to work at your own pace and fit your studies around your current commitments. For your 1st unit, you will attend the practical day, complete the home study elements (practice diary, case studies and assessments) and then return to the school for your live assessments and paper tests. Once the unit is complete, you will go through the same process for the rest of the units until thequalificationiscomplete. You will get up to 2 years to complete thequalificationwith this route, however it can becompleted in as little as 6 months. Failure to complete the qualification within 2 years could result in additional assessments fees.
