The Guild Level 3 Award in Camouflage Make-Up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in providing camouflage make-up services.You will learn about camouflage make-up for scar tissue, birth marks, tattoos and other skin imperfections as desired by clients. You will also learn about the history and origins of camouflage make-up, including links with medical professions. Colour matching and colour theory are also important elements of this course.The purpose of this qualification is develop your skills in make-up and will provide you with the foundation for further learning.

At London School of Hair and Beauty, we offer theGuild Level 3 Award in Camouflage Make-Up course in a structure that saves you a lot of time compared to the Further Education College route and offer a flexible way for students to achieve a more advanced qualification.

Following practical training days, students are given written and practical assignments to be completed at home. Students then return to the school for a pre assessment appointmentbefore attending their assessments. To comply with the rigorous NVQ assessment procedure, it is essential that student provide models to work on during their assessment days.

Camouflage Make-Up

This unit is about providing skin camouflage applications to cover a wide range of often complex conditions, designed to restore the skin colouration of the surrounding skin tone. It also covers the use of a variety of specialist camouflage products.

Mode of Study

At London School of Hair and Beautys, we run this qualification in a unit by unit form. This allows you to work at your own pace and fit your studies around your current commitments. For your 1st unit, you will attend the practical day, complete the home study elements (practice diary, case studies and assessments) and then return to the school for your live assessments and paper tests. Once the unit is complete, you will go through the same process for the rest of the units until thequalificationiscomplete. You will get up to 2 years to complete thequalificationwith this route, however it can becompleted in as little as 6 months. Failure to complete the qualification within 2 years could result in additional assessments fees.
